SSG CHECK Staff Guide

This guide explains the standard procedure for surface cleaning, ATP verification sampling, photo documentation, and SSG CHECK record entry.

1. Prepare Equipment

Disposable gloves
Alcohol wipes or approved alcohol solution
Clean microfiber cloth
ATP swab kit
ATP measurement device
Mobile device or tablet

2. Surface Cleaning Procedure

Clean the target surface using alcohol wipes or an approved alcohol solution.

Remove visible contamination and avoid touching the cleaned area afterward.

Allow the surface to air dry for approximately 10–15 seconds before ATP sampling.

3. ATP Swab Collection

Open the ATP swab carefully without touching the swab tip.

Swab the surface using a consistent zigzag pattern.

Swab horizontally first, then vertically.

Cover the full target area as consistently as possible.

4. ATP Measurement

Insert the swab into the ATP device immediately after collection.

Record the ATP value and verification time.

5. Photo Documentation

Take the following photos:

Before surface photo
Close-up target area photo
ATP device screen result photo
After service photo

6. Record Entry

Complete the SSG CHECK form accurately.

Do not upload unrelated photos.

Do not enter false ATP values.Internal Use Only

7. ATP Swab Disposal

ATP swabs are single-use items. Do not reuse any ATP swab.

After testing, place the used ATP swab back into its original tube or closed container.

Dispose of used ATP swabs according to the product instructions and applicable site waste-disposal rules.

Do not empty ATP swab liquid into sinks, drains, toilets, or the environment.

If the surface tested may involve blood, bodily fluids, medical waste, or other hazardous contamination, do not dispose of the swab in regular trash. Follow the facility’s biohazard or regulated waste procedure.

Staff must wear gloves during disposal and wash or sanitize hands after completing the procedure.
